When an 11-year-old girl is shot on the steps of a San Francisco church, hard-as-nails Lieutenant Lindsay Boxer calls a meeting of the Women's Murder Club. Together with ambitious assistant D.A. Jill Bernhardt, savvy medical examiner Claire Washburn, and Cindy Thomas, a bright young reporter for the Chronicle, Lindsay tracks the mystifying killer to a local hate group.
